OVERKILL

The Earth is breaking apart. Every faction is building a ship to leave. The Protocol decides who gets the parts.

A fast 2D arena shooter for one player and a lot of bots: jump pads, rocket jumps, a special power on Space, and a kill feed that shouts back.

OVERKILL Gameplay

THE PROTOCOL

In 2151 the Unmooring broke the Earth apart. The pieces still float over the Rift, and there are fewer every day. The only way out is a ship, and every faction — VANGUARD, HAVOC, VIPER, VOLT and the rest — is building its own with whatever the fragments still hold: steel, fuel, a core.

There is cargo for one ship, maybe two. So the factions signed the OVERKILL Protocol: no war on the fragments, only matches, broadcast to every city that still has a signal. The winner of an arena takes its cargo, and every kill beyond what was needed — the overkill — is energy for your ship.

You are a contract fighter. Be there when the last fragment is claimed and the Protocol is executed.

IN THE DEMO

  • Seven story missions on five arenas, each one a part of your faction's ship: a guided training, then Easy, Normal and Hard matches on Forge Street (steel plating, on a cyberpunk street over the Rift), Legacy Terrace (a seed cell, in the first test Anchor), Relay (navigation arrays, in a comms station under fire), Outpost (fuel) and Docks (hull frames).
  • Custom games on all five arenas, solo against 1–7 bots from Easy to Nightmare: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag (Legacy Terrace) and Control Point (Forge Street), plus eight match modifiers (Low Gravity, Instagib, Rocket Arena, Snipers Only, Turbo…).
  • Six weapons with mastery, grenades, power pickups that sit on top of danger, and a loadout and armory with weapon skins.
  • Progression: levels, daily and weekly challenges, 20 achievements, local records, full match statistics.
  • Animated kill callouts: Awesome, Amazing, Brutal, Savage, Killing Spree, Headshot, Long Shot, Air Kill, Revenge.

SPECIAL POWERS

Fighting fills a meter. When it is full, press Space and spend it. Pick your power in the Armory:

  • OVERSLAYER — armor of pure ballast: 60% less damage taken, +35% damage, and every kill while it burns gives time and health back.
  • CHRONO — the world drags to 38% speed while you stay quick. Your aim gets all the time it needs.
  • SURGE — faster movement, fire rate and reload, and you heal from the damage you deal.

WHAT COMES NEXT

The full game is a 24-mission campaign across eighteen arenas, one part of the ship per arena, up to the last Anchor at the Core, with a wave Survival mode and more Capture the Flag and Control Point stages. The demo is the first slice of it.

Your feedback shapes it. Tell me in the comments what felt good, what felt unfair, and which weapon, power or bot you want to see changed.
